If it was in that can when purchased its fine .. spun aluminum is the

most common way of packaging single kilos.

If the container has a varnish coating on the inside then the oil

should be ok. However, that oil does deteriorate if there is a lot

of air in the container. If the container is not varnished inside

(and not all are) then you can bet it will have reacted with the

metal.
