Guest guest
Thank you Martin, I appreciate your answer. I fully believe you have inside knowledge...so bear with me, please! I am wondering about the company which seems to supply almost all of the pharmacies here in France these days... they are called PhytoSun Aroms. Their boxes say " produced by L.S.B.H. " in 69480 Anse, and then, SAS DI produits 92542 Montrouge. They do not make the organic claim, and frankly, after reading here and other places, I am not going to worry too much about that. They do claim that their oils are HEBBD ( " Botanically and Biochemically defined " ?). Also they claim that their oils are not adulterated, rectified, or deterpenes (??). I also have tried to get some oils from them which were out of stock and not going to be restocked for a while, leading me to believe that they could not just " whip some up " if they ran out of certain oils. Have you heard of this company/laboratory? Any thoughts? Thanks again Anne >> However, there are some essential oil suppliers in France< > > Yes, there are a few genuine grower/distillers there. Guest guest
Anne, A quick reply as I am away for a couple of days. Yes I have heard of this company, but I do not know where they get their oils, my guess is the same places as everyone else. There is absolutely no way of knowing other than with sample analysis and/or if they will tell you where their oils are grown. Most of the aromatherapy companies who claim to get all their oils " direct from small producers " are just using marketing hype. They may get a few oils like that, but most will come via the big International dealers. Never believe claims of purity on web sites or in literature. Anyone can make such claims without fear of prosecution for fraud. There is no method of ascertaining truthfullness or otherwise other than knowing who originally produced the oil and how many dealers it goes through before reaching an AT supplier. As to the HEBBD certification I suggest you read the articles on my web site in regards organic certification. >also have tried to get some oils from them which were out of stock< That can be a sign of someone who is a genuine supplier, but it can just as well mean they are just a small dealer and do not carry big stocks.
