back pain, Candy

Hi Chris and everyone else. I will ditto everything that has been said

about the pain etc., caused from the sciatic nerve. I, too, had to have

back surgery for a ruptured disc. The pain down my leg was to a point I

couldn't even walk. Well, the first surgery was a failed surgery. The

first doctor (and he doesn 't deserve to be called a doctor) wouldn't

believe me when I said something was wrong. So I went to the neck and back

clinic in Minneapolis, taking all the x-rays, mri's, etc., and the doctor I

saw showed me where my back had fractured!!!! A second surgery was

performed and big honken screws on both sides of my spine were used to use

for the fusion. Talk about pain. To make a long story short, the screws on

the right side let loose so I had to go through yet another surgery where as

they went in through the back to take out the faulty screws, and then went

through the front to put in cylinders (rods). That totaled to be three

surgeries in four months. I do have permanent nerve damage in my right leg

and down into my foot. I sure hope Candy's friend gets help fast because it

will only get worse with more damage. It still hasn't stopped me from doing

what I want to do even though I suffer for it the next day. Just don't give

in too easy. Seventy-four and still rockin!!!

Blessings and love,

Effie

>I truly hope that she gets better Candy. If she has pain that is this bad

>email me personally, I'd be happy to share what info I now know with her :)
