I put ice on it and gave him a teaspoon of benydryl, poor little mite is miserable.. toe is mightily swollen, hot to the touch and so is the top part of his foot. Guest guest
kathleen, Ice is good lavender is good, but an onion cut in half and put on the toes or any way you can pack it with onion is better.., trust me, old German thing, my kids will vouch for it. benadryl is good, but watch him closely.. Swelling is normal, dangerous reaction is shock.. Poor honey bunny... C-M
Guest guest
Poor little guy:( My brother was allergic as a kid, his face and eyes would swell up rather quickly- like within a hour. I would watch and signs of severe swelling, difficulty breathing & hives hope he is OK. Gea , WoobeyQueen@a... wrote: > signs of being a bit allergic to the sting... this is my 2.5 year old. Guest guest
Ooooo. Watch really closely. Bee stings normally swell up and are angry and red but if a person is REALLY allergic to bees that is one of those life or death allergies (like peanuts). Watch for signs of anaphylactic shock, swelling of throat, labored respirations ect. Benedryl won't cut it for these, although it will help him feel better if he isn't allergic. Karen J- an experienced bee stingee, as my father raised honey bees AND was allergic to bees. We carried an epi-pen whenever we went out to the bees. Although if I were allergic I can't believe that I would be brave (or stupid) enough to bring that on by choice. Guest guest
Well, in the hollers they treat bee stings by putting a wad of warm, wet tobacco right out of a cigarette on the sting. Supposed to draw out the ... whatever it is that actually causes the reaction....histamine? Keep a very close watch on him. He's too little to let you know just how poor he's feeling 'til it's likely to be very late to know. Dale - WoobeyQueen signs of being a bit allergic to the sting...
