I wasn't going to say anything but am spurred on by Vicki, JenB and Kathleen (hope I didn't miss anyone out!) and just wanted to correct a couple of things and stand up for my country! Butch wrote : - Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died. I would just like to point you to the following website http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/p/patriots.htm You will see that this site quotes the message that Butch sent (at the bottom of the page) but does state at the beginning of the page that much of the message including the killing and torturing of the patriots by the British is in fact fiction. OK - I wasn't there! but I understand that this is a reliable site. There is a lot that our countries have done in the past that we can rightly be ashamed of. But I will defend my country when I think there are stories being passed around that inflame feeling against us. I hope all of you across that BIG pond (and those of you there in your thoughts) had a wonderful weekend. Ann - Scotland
