Guest guest
Hey Sharon, > Vicky wrote a wonderful post. I do not see or hear enough of this. I am glad it made your day. ;-) > The Media I hear so much about is totally one way and it is not the way I see it. > As a matter of fact I feel very suspicious as to why anyone would want it all > their way. I've been wondering the same thing .. getting kinda tired of hearing the same old Liberal crap. > I was driving a few hundred miles one day and got on the radio station > KNEW channel 91. all day I listened to what they had to say, they said > it every way there was to say it, all about Michael Moore, Liberals, > Clinton, every aspect of the war Iraq. I looked around on the dial but > did not find no one station saying anything else. I am not sure if they were fer or agin the issues above. If they were agin Moore and Liberals and for Clinton .. and agin the war in Iraq .. then I am sure that MANY of the people on this list can tell you MANY radio channels you can turn to .. that will tell it the way you want to hear it even though you can't understand why anyone would want it their way in the second place. ;-) Unfortunately (or is it fortunately) I have no radio stations to listen to except Turkish .. and even translated they sorta suck. The only TV I get in English is CNN International .. which maybe y'all get too .. or maybe you get a different version. But it is TOTALLY Liberal .. they use mannerisms and gestures and facial expressions to add to the news when they are FORCED to present good news about Iraq .. as if .. " Yea .. so they report .. but its not really that way. " > I am a radio listener and I have to believe that if there was anything > else on the radio I would know. Try PBS .. they will tell it the way you want to hear it .. I promise. > But I hear a lot about the liberal media especially from FOX. Thank you Fox .. wish I could get them here. > I would say this comes under the heading of " say it enough just keep > saying it and sooner or later they will believe " . That is what politicized Media always does .. matters not which side of the fence they are on. > I hope we are not really that kind of sheep. It would be nice if that were the case. > I always wonder what is a liberal???????? Are they people who help others??? Its not that simple Sharon .. if it were then everything Bush is doing in Iraq and all we did in Afghanistan would make him a Liberal. I think I'll avoid (for now) giving my defination of a Liberal. ;-) > I am a person who does not follow the leader, I think for myself. Good show. > I have had an abortion, no problems, I was 41 and did not want to chance it. Good show. > I think things could be taken care of better without abortion. I agree .. in most cases .. but not all. And won't go into the reasons except to say that there are valid reasons for abortion and they don't all have to do with health. > I do not like it but maybe it should be left alone. I am totally against partial > birth abortion, how can it not be murder. I agree. > I also think that the very people who do not want abortion, are the people who > do not want to take care of the little ones once they are here. For instance > school breakfast, and lunch or any other public assistance to them. I agree that there is much abuse out and about .. and some is just based on lack of education and/or a proper role model .. but you gotta be careful on a list like this .. or any other AT list cause Liberals and seekers of truth I (read .. lost souls) flock to these lists .. and some might holler at you and say you are discriminating and not being Politically Correct and then oughta take a rope and hang you. ;-) > I do not want to fill my gut while some child goes without if I can help it. Agree .. I feel the same way. Only one time in this business have I been stiffed by a check .. and the stiffer was from Maryland .. same state as my company. Twas an easy task to just turn it over to the Sheriff and let the system collect the money .. was over $400 and the lady said she couldn't pay. A single mom .. which checked out in fact. So I wrote it off as a rare bad experience .. and told her I was doing that. That was almost three years ago. Six months ago she wrote me out of the blue and said it was bothering her and she wanted to pay a bit at a time .. and guess what? She is paying $25 to $50 a month now. > Here is one answer to abortion, put an advertisement on the front page of > the paper, $2000.00 to every person male or female who will come to a clinic > and be sterilized. Or what ever price it takes. In some families they > would receive $5000.00. It did just come to me why anyone would not like this > idea. It might change the economy in different ways. Cut down on welfare, > pharmaceuticals might suffer, bless their heart, even social services, good > heavens it might even lower taxes. Should it lower taxes lets make sure the > savings stay down here, not to the upper income levels.. Sharon .. you gotta think a bit on that one. If a gummit said that the Liberal press would start saying that its a conspiracy to lower the population of minorities in America. True it is that they would be the most likely ones to show up for the cash. The Press would ignore the poor white trash cause there is no emotional appeal to reporting on them. A few years back the Chinese Commie gummit wanted to give transistor radios to folks who volunteered for sterilization and the American Liberal Press got all out of joint over it. > I did get a kick when I heard Bush refer to the people at his dinner party > as the upper level income people but he knows them as his base. I expect that was a fair statement cause the plates cost hundreds of bucks at such functions .. its a long standing way to get around the limits on campaign contributions. > Hey people whoever you are go see Michael Moores movie Fharenheight 911. I have no question in my mind that the majority of folks on this list will do just that. The best use I can think of for Fat Boy Michael Moore is to slaughter him and parcel him out .. he could feed a medium size village in Sudan. ;-) > I do not see why anyone would not want to see it. I laughed so hard I almost > forgot my worries. I'll watch it when I come back to the USA. I even watch the Sunday morning preachers .. especially the women when they cry and their mascara starts running and crap .. I like to laugh too. :-) > Of course this movie did bring up other issues that I worry about but I also > felt good knowing that people are waking up to them every day. Can't comment .. but from the reviews of that movie .. including the one I posted on this list from a VERY FAR LEFT dude .. it sorta sucks when it comes to credibility. > We the people out here are being so manipulated, they do it mainly with fear. Not sure who " they " is .. if it refers to Terrorists .. I agree. > Oh yess the terorists and the alert system. Damned if they do and damned if they don't. Afore it was not enough attention being paid to security .. now its too much. Did it ever occur to you that there is no way this administration is gonna get a fair shake from the Liberal press? And IF Kommie Kerry wins .. you can bet your bippy that he is gonna be Monday Morning Quarterbacked by the Right leaners. > From what I have seen we have every bit as much to worry about with our > own home grown terrorists. In some respects you hit on something important .. but its a deep one and I won't get into here .. its about a minor conspiracy and such. As far as violent actions against people and property we have had little worry from the domestic cats. A few .. Oklahoma City and such .. which in time .. when the classified files are declassified (regardless of who is in the White House) there will be a Congressional inquiry as to the connection (if any) between that incident and al-Quaeda. > They would like to get rid of our Constitution and keep the Patriot act. > and add the #2 Patriot act to it. Vote your heart come November. But guess what? If Kommie Kerry gets in he will NOT be able to do away with Homeland Security or any of the ongoing actions. Why? Because there will be opposition from his own party. They are only peeing and moaning now because its Bush in the White House. If Kerry gets in they will stop the complaining and support the things they now complain about. Why? Because politicians are cowards .. they fear being called before the people and accused of not being able to see the future and prevent bad things from happening. > Just think Congress did not even read it, they got so caught up in the > moment they just blindly signed it. The President of the United States depends on his advisors to guide him on the critical points of almost all long and drawn out documents. The Senators depend on their staffers to do this for them. Its a known fact that Senators rarely read what they vote on .. and a fact that their staffers are the ones who really make law in America. > I have to believe that the terrorsts are doing their job. They have done their job well. > Just this morning I hear more about Bush and Cheney trying to get a hold of > the church registry, and asking people to send it to the campain headquarters. I know nothing about this. > They also want church members to talk to the pastor about a membership > Sunday, listing the pastors into the political campain. They want 2 potluck > dinners. It is hard to believe, I guess we are now seeing why we have > separation of church and state. I won't bore the readers of this list by posting a long commentary someone wrote on why its criticized when Bush visits a church but it was seen as admirable when Clinton and Jackson and Kerry and others were shown on TV doing the same .. in the last month. And it was not one time .. it was many times. Also .. it has nothing to do with the so-called separation of church and state. Its just tacky methinks. > Thank God the founding fathers took care of this. But they didn't. They never dreamed such a thing would be a problem because it was in the churches of old that political messages were given to the people. ;-) > I thought the 10 commandments should be on all school walls as a model of > morality and how to treat each other, but I guess this is how it could end up. The concept of LAW in the Western World is based on the 10 Commandments. They are on the walls of many courts .. and government buildings .. and the US Congress has began each session for over 250 years with a prayer by a preacher who is paid with taxpayer's money .. matters not if that taxpayer believes or not. > One more thing, this man Bush is obsessed with getting 4 more years in the > White House. I think he may have some unfinished business, and we could have > even more repressive surprises. He has shown us a lot, but more is to come, > he is trying to shape our world and leave an indelable print on it. The above is true of every president we have had in my life .. and it applies to Kerry as well. Its not a bad thing. > Please see the movie I did not see one thing that was not in the news, except > the casualties . All of this could have been seen in the SF Chronicle, our local > Press Democrat. (No it is not a democratic newspaper) sharon I know little about it .. but since being acquired a few years back by the Hearst Corporation odds are its the only thing in San Francisco that is not hard core Liberal. ;-) > I sure wonder why they spent 4 or 8 years hammering on Clinton, when today > every one lies. Out of the goodness of our heart we went into Iraq to free the > people. If I remember right special precautions werre given to stay away from > the oil. If you mean .. not to destroy the fields .. that's logical and also LAW. The Geneva Conventions prohibit such actions. Only Saddam and Islamic Terrorists are allowed to destroy oils fields now. > Oh yes maybe the pipeline across Afghanistan had something to do with it. IF they build one and that works effectively .. it will be a good thing. > But it is not a lie, we did not go in there for oil. Present events say you are wrong .. and History will prove you are wrong. ;-) The idea of right and wrong is determined by who reports it. Clinton awards Halliburton no-bid contract in Yugoslavia - good. Bush awards Halliburton no-bid contract in Iraq - bad. I will tell you all that no-bid contracts are not unusual at all! Clinton spends 77 billion on war in Serbia - good. Bush spends 87 billion in Iraq - bad. Clinton imposes regime change in Serbia - good. Bush imposes regime change in Iraq - bad. Clinton bombs Christian Serbs on behalf of Muslim Albanian terrorists - good. Bush liberates 25 million from a genocidal dictator - bad. Clinton bombs Chinese embassy - good. Bush bombs terrorist camps - bad. Clinton commits felonies while in office - good. Bush lands on aircraft carrier in jumpsuit - bad. Clinton says mass graves in Serbia - good. Bush says mass graves in Iraq - bad. Entire world says WMD in Iraq - good .. go get them. (I can list the quotes from many .. including Clinton) Bush says WMD in Iraq - bad .. he went and they're not found yet .. that is, except for some Sarin gas and facilities for production of WMD. Clinton calls for regime change in Iraq - good. Bush imposes regime change in Iraq - bad. Stock market crashes in 2000 under Clinton - good... Recession under Bush - bad. (But now we have earned back what we lost under Clinton) Clinton refuses to take custody of Bin Laden - good. World Trade Centers fall under Bush - Bad. Terrorist training in Afghanistan and Greece under Clinton - good. Bush destroys training camps in Afghanistan - bad. Few mass graves found in Serbia - good. MANY mass graves but No WMD found Iraq - bad. Milosovic not yet convicted - good. Saddam in custody and before the courts - bad. Ah, it's so confusing! But .. not really. ;-) Butch
