I received my yummy oil this week -- thanks Chris! I just have a question for

anyone who has used it in soap. At what percentage will the scent really come

through in the soap? I don't want to waste it by using too much, but the same

can be said for using too little, I suppose! Also, am I correct in assuming the

SAP value is the same as coconut?

Thanks,

Debbie

Hi Debbie,

I've soaped this at 50% of the oils in the recipe and it comes thru, soft but

nicely. I hesitate to try less because I don't want to waste my oil and not have

the scent come thru at all. I've also been told it's traditionally used as 75%

of the oils, but the info came from the company my supplier got it from (not the

same supplier as List Mom) and that

she used it at 50% herself. So it's just MHO on how much to use. And I used the

SAP value for coconut oil on MMS's calculator and my soap turned out fine.

Also remember you will have VERY fast trace with this oil!!! I always make sure

I have an extra pair of hands nearby because I always need them.
