Guest guest
Hey Rahnny, Opal, Chris .. other good folks .. > Hi Opal, good to see you. There are a bunch of wonderful people here, and you > will get lots of good help here. As far as Martin's class can't help you, but > he is around here somwhere. > Rahnny He is not really around .. doesn't have his ears on methinks as he is involved in some heavy research now. But I can help anyone on this subject .. because .. I represent Martin in North & South America. ;-) This is not really an advertisement .. its simply providing information that is pertinent to this and any other AT list .. and since Martin and I are dealing this matter .. it has to come from one of us. If you are interested in this course just write me and tell me that. I'll then hand carry you through the procedures for application and Martin will make the final decision as to whether or not you are allowed to enroll. I can .. offer payment terms on the course. The spiel sorta goes like this ....... If you are interested in taking an Aromatherapy correspondence course, there is one by Martin Watt that has received raves from those who have taken it .. even from those who previously took other courses. If you go through me for a registration number you receive a 10% discount on Option 1 of the course. If you own Plant Aromatics you would get an additional $13 rebate on Option 1 of the Course. You can review the course at URL http://www.AV-AT.com/coursedetails.html If you would like to review THE Safety Manual on scientifically proven safe dilution for dermal application, Martin Watt's Plant Aromatics, the URL is below. The old edition was $75 .. I have published the new, revised edition and offer it for $44.90 .. it can now be seen and ordered at URL http://www.av-at.com/plantaromaticsavnp.html The revised edition came out in November 2001 and is now in the Fourth Printing. I am exclusive dealer for North and South America. There are MANY folks on this list who own Plant Aromatics .. in fact, everyone should own it if they are into making blends .. even moreso if they are into selling blends because there is no way to get correct information on the proven safe dilution of EO from the many novels out and about. Plant Aromatics gives info on what test was conducted on which oil when and by whom .. trying to guess at safe dilution is like sticking your hand in a rattlesnake den and hoping Jake is not home. There are also many folks on this list who have taken or are now in the process of completing Martin's Course. I invite ANY comments from ANY of those folks .. shoot from the hip .. tell it like you really think it is and I will not be upset if someone says they didn't like it. Not sure how I can be more open about this. ;-) Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
Guest guest
Butch, Thanks so much. I will be emailing you sometime this week. When I first became interested in aromatherapy I read as much as I could with what was out there but I was noticing discrepancies when it came to the amounts of oils that should be used in applications. It left me confused and I started wondering where the aromatherapist was getting their information. What safety data were they using? I have several books on the subject; ironically the majority of them are very similar and I guess they would be considered `fairy tales'. I had emailed a few of the authors a few years ago in regards to the claims they had listed in the books I purchased. I wanted to know the research that was done which supported their claims. I am still waiting to hear back from them. What had started out, as a curiosity has rapidly become addictive! When I have time I am usually online searching for information on herbs, essential oils, hair, skin care, and visiting forums. There was a review about Martin Watt a few months ago. I can't remember the site (it was similar to epinions) but the poster spoke highly of his work and mentioned the research he had done. I was impressed since it was exactly what I was looking for. I want to know more than 'claims'. I see you offer essential oils on your site and one of the locations is in Maryland. I live in Maryland. I will send a pm to the email provided to find out the bulk prices. I will skydive in a heartbeat (love it) but I think I will pass on sticking my hand in a rattlesnake den. J We had timber rattlesnakes http://www.dnr.state.md.us/wildlife/vsnakes.html in our area about 7 years ago. I live in rural part of Baltimore County, MD. I remember seeing the pretty markings on the snake in the yard and wondering, what type of snake is it? The only types I see around here are the black snakes, garter snakes, the occasional copperhead but no rattlesnakes. I `googled' and found out they were timber rattlesnakes. They usually aren't this close but they did have a news feature a few days later about them being in closer. I have not seen anymore since that year. I am sure they are around hanging out on our property in the woods. They can stay there. :-) Opal
