Guest guest
We're still here, just busy. I don't even begin to know as much as most of you do, but do learning from all of you. I play with the oils mostly. A number of years ago I got started with a brand that shall remain nameless, only to learn about its founder and the oils aren't what they claim to be. I actually wrote the company and asked to see some of the info that they claimed was done by a University. When I did this I had just finished graduate school and knew what research should look like. I also knew that one of the goals of colleges was to publish -- never saw any with this company's name on it. The " research " they sent me was not research but junk. I have since learned!! Back in the mid 90's I started learning more about herbs and met a friend who wild crafted them and had a line of products. There was a group of us that would go out to her 500 acres in southern MO and help her. It was WONDERFUL. I learned so much and really appreciated the opportunities it gave me. In 2 weeks we are moving from the front range of Colorado to Gunnision -- up to where there is LOTs of snow and VERY cold winters -- should be interesting. For those of you in FL -- buckle down the hatches. Way back when I live in the panhandle and went through a hurricane. My husband was in the AF and he of course had to take a plane out and left me with 3 little ones -- then to top it off they had the nerve to let school out and nothing was on the TV except weather. Long before the days of VCR's. So we taped every inch of windows in the house and then colored them -- had to keep the kids busy. We only got sprinkles and that was as close as I ever need to be to a hurricane. So Chris we're here, just doing our thing -- life. I truly enjoy the group -- thanks for all that you do. Guest guest
I have been on vacation and a lovely one it was. My dh and I just returned from the world's largest yard sale. It started in Covington, KY and goes all the way through KY, TN, AL and GA. We started at the top and went all the way to Chattanoga, TN. There was lots to see but what I was hoping for was an herbalist or at least books on herbs and aromatherapy and none were around. I thought for sure that in the hills/mountains there would be someone but alas there was none. I did happen upon a wonderful product called " Bee Bar " has anyone every heard of this and can I get a recipe for it? Any help would be wonderful. Guest guest
Yep - so is my husband, but not me! lol Ouch about your SO (is that son?)! Didn't he get the retirement benefits because of his age/service combination? I got offered a " package " (HAH! What a joke), but my age/service only add up to 62, so I wouldn't have gotten retirement bennies.....still waiting. Cindy - Be glad you still not laid off.
