Guest guest
Hello friends, I neither make soap or any of the wonderful things you are all doing, but I love to read the msgs and get a lot of information on oils etc. from them. My grandson joins the Army 10/6.. this is a good thing as at least now he will have direction instead of just hanging around with friends whose sole purpose in life is to drink! I worry because he had a skin problem occasionally since he was a baby, some sort of excsema [sorry if spelt wrong] and of course has always been prescribed anitbiotics. His Mum washes his clothes and bedding in pure unperfumed soap pdr. This is not going to happen in the future! I remember in one post [which I lost!!] one of you talked about an oil which was odorless and immediately soaked into the skin so it was unnoticeable. Was that Emu? I think if he can take that and use it at least it would help with the dryness and perhaps stop any outbreak. I will truly appreciate any help this is a great kid!! Guest guest
Hi Patricia, I honestly don't know about boot camp....but afterwards, the soldiers do their own laundry, so hopefully this won't be too hard on him. (My ex-hubby was in the Army....and I did his laundry after we were married....he was out of boot camp at this point!) Yes, emu oil is good for the skin......or any type of unscented cream or lotion made with it may help his skin during this time. I am sure others will chime in on this topic. Tell your grandson good luck, and thanks! For joining to serve his country. It's a great thing he's doing! Guest guest
I dont know about Army bootcamp at all as I was in the Marines, however I know that they let us have bug repellent and lotions to put on, but that was only on our free time (ie... 2am) our laundry was done all in large loads there was no asking for special soap or anything, heck if you got your own undergarments back to wear you were lucky! was fun times ;o) However yes, once they go to school and then to the fleet they will be doing their own laundry !
