Guest guest
Tom, I have a many options to share with you! I just want to know what do you mean by bad reactions or that most of these modalities didn't work for you? When our body mind and spirit are in healing limbo is when we go through the same or worse pain to get better! In Light & Love --- Original Message --- " tomisfromwisconsin " <tomisfromwisconsin Sent:Wed 10/14/09 5:13 pm Subj:<< >> Searching for ideas I'm on a search for ideas, and I'll welcome the chance to brainstorm with the members here. I had a serious brain injury nine years ago, and I have been going through substantial health problems and complications since then. I have explored many realms of holistic health, but it's been tough to find anything that works for me. Among the issues I'm trying to address, my balance and sensory systems were damaged in the injury. I cannot handle larger places (everything from malls and athletic arenas to walking down a city streets). I lack the sensory perception to handle the many places people take for granted in their daily lives. Another sensory issue has been my sense of gravity. At times I feel like I'm falling (they way you would if someone pushed you off a tall building and you were in free-fall). I've also had sensations of lightheadedness as if my head were filled with helium. Vertigo has been another issue. I have chronic bouts with vertigo, and those can be triggered by a number of things including weather changes. Food allergies have also emerged in the wake of this injury, and though I'm managing for the moment, it's been difficult to make meaningful progress. Things have been out of sorts emotionally as well. I have chronic emotional shifts (from rage to depression to utter indifference, and I have become exceedingly sensitive to the emotions of people and places around me). In my efforts to regain my health, I have tried a number of holistic modalities only to find that I cannot tolerate them. Homeopathy quickly became too much for me, energetic modalities like Reiki produced profoundly bad reactions, as did Yoga and Thai Chi. I also found EFT was too much for me, and I had bad responses to crystals and a variety of prayer and positive affirmation therapies. More recently, I found an energy healer who had helped many unusually sensitive people, and she was able to help me to some extent, but she too has reached a point where she is baffled by what is happening to me. She feels there is help for me, but she's not sure what that will be. Her only definitive opinion is that I'm the most sensitive patient she's ever had. Again, I'm on a search for answers, and I'll welcome the chance to brainstorm with the members here. Any replies appreciated. Tom
Guest guest
Hi Tom Try a traditional Osteopathic doctor. When out of alignment you can get all kinds of health problems. I've had good results with a Osteopath. Diane In a message dated 10/14/2009 7:11:19 P.M. Guest guest
Diane, Thanks for responding. I cannot handle that form of treatment. It's just way to physical for me (many of my current problems stem from a chiropractic injury that left me with brain damage and sensory issues). But please keep the ideas coming. I suspect there is help for me and I'm hoping to find it through ongoing brainstorming. Thanks. Tom , Boonight wrote: > > > Hi Tom > > Try a traditional Osteopathic doctor. Guest guest
Thanks. The modalities I described in my first post all produced catastrophic reactions (vertigo, severe anxiety, digestive impairments, and more). The healers I've dealt with thus far (many decades of experience between them) say I'm the most sensitive client they've seen, and they also feel my case in the most complicated they've ever seen. I really need help, but I'm just not sure in what form that help will come. If you've got ideas you want to throw out there, I'll welcome them. , jboettner08 wrote: > > Tom, > I have a many options to share with you! Guest guest
Have you ever tried digestive enzymes? Many people with neurological conditions have been tremendously helped by taking the right combination of enzymes. Oddly enough, we have an enteric nervous system, a second brain in the gut, closely related to the brain in the head. (Michael D. Gershon, M.D. wrote a book about this called " The Second Brain.) Many people with autism and other neurological conditions are reporting huge success with them. You might check out http://www.enzymestuff.com/ for some more info. I am new to this myself and am just starting the specific enzymes from the book " Enzymes and Autism and other Neurological Conditons " by Karen DeFelice. I am mainly trying to help my daughter who was born with a brain malformation, and although she is not yet worked up to taking the full dose, I've seen some improvement in her sensory issues and ability to stay on track already. We're less than 2 weeks into this, so it's pretty significant. Good luck! L. Dramagal , " tomisfromwisconsin " <tomisfromwisconsin wrote: > > Diane, > > Thanks for responding.
