I suppose you are against medicare too? I think you're just afraid that your taxes might go up a little to help the less fortunate get some HC coverage. You probably have a nice tidy HC program for yourself that is paid for by others. This HC bill is only to help the people that can't afford their own HC and gives them a safety net....that is all. It's no different than SS or medicare. It's just to help those that don't qualify for medicare yet...that is all. How naive! Tell you what, If the Democrats are so hell bent on providing health care for the masses, let them begin with the 40 million babies that their policies have killed in the last 37 years. What's more, these entitlement programs are all presently failing (going broke) AND they are stacking. Eventually we will suffer the perfect storm as they simultaneously collapse. The result will be beyond staggering in socio-economic terms. When we recover from this cataclysmic failure (and America always does) it is my opinion that progressive socialist policies should be mandatorily taught in schools as the failures they are. They have historically failed time and again throughout history and throughout the world. Each new incoming power claims they will do it right. None have...none will. Period. We are only in this situation because our children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren have not experienced are been sufficiently taught that freedom must be earned. They need to be steeped in the history of government suppression and be taught the incremental process by which it metastasizes itself within a distracted society. They need to be taught EXACTLY what our founding fathers attempted to accomplish with the creation of our Constitution and what was meant when Franklin said, " We have given you a Republic, if you can keep it. " What an envisioned response! There is no reason America should keep forgetting and then having to painfully relearn the necessity of a constitutionally driven free republic.
