Guest guest
*** What can be done about not absorbing too much of the bad stuff in average city tap water? If anything? I have been DYING to take a bath, but it seems like a contradiction in terms to take a bath in waterfull of chlorine, flouride, lead, and lord knows what else while I am cleansing! And I really can't afford to buy a purifier for my apartment shower head... I was under the impression that hot water makes lead more easily absorbable as well... so does this mean I have to take a cold bath? lolLove and Blessings,~Raaven ***_____________________ Hi Raaven, the sea salt will help counteract the bad stuff (that's why high quality with lots of minerals is important) it will be drawing toxins from the body. You might not want to stay in the water as long. Listen to your body while you bath, get in touch with your chi. I don't use super hot water. I keep running hot water into the bath and I stay in the tub (during the full moon) for about an hour. Yes it does work, the magenetic pull is noticible to me. I'm highly sensitive and after I started getting rid of medico RX's I found I could connect with my body and know exactly what is going on. It's marvelous. Temperature should be what you can be comfortable with. Experiment, I think you will find this very pleasurable for the largest organ we have "our skin." The detox is noticeable and I sleep like a baby afterwards. I live on the coast, our little water department is careful with chemicals I stay on top of exactly what they are doing. So far so good, better than contaminated water and so many people deal with that from wells and mountain streams these days. Hope this is helps. Guest guest
Micki, Do you only do a sea salt bath on the full moon or do you do it at other phases of the lunar cycle? Would it be beneficial to do this at other times? Thanks, Samantha
Guest guest
Cold water bath therapy does exist especially in Europe, I did try it once a few years ago. The first part of the process is about lowering the body's temperature by putting your feet in some cold water. It was in the The European, which has stopped selling now. Though the theory is not to stop chemicals in tap water, but because a doctor in London discovered that it increased the number of white blood cells in the body. Deep in the therapy, where you have to keep lowering the temperature of the water, or the time that you spent in the water. And I found that I could move a plastic cup, because there was so much static in the body. I gradually have stopped doing it, and enjot hoy baths now...On 6/18/06, Stuck <Sstuck wrote: i have been reading that you can bathe with coconut oil. just a suggestion, not so sure how I feel about it, but the book I am reading is pretty impressive. Guest guest
Thanks, Micki I really appreciate all your info I do believe in the pull of the moon... really, we were taught about it in elementary science class, so for those who think it's mumbo jumbo, well... if it works for the ocean, wouldn't that imply force on the rest of us too? ) And it's funny you mention that of getting in touch with our own bodies, because I have only gone " all natural " homeopathic since last Januray, and am currently also working on going vegetarian, after my fast, and already I am realizing that if we actually " Listen " and pay attention, we DO know better than anyone else what is and is not good. Little things at first, but as time passes so does my " gut instinct " get stronger. I think it's honestly just because I got off the " drugs " and actually make time to pay attention now! But it IS marvelous! I took a bath last night with sea salts and some epsom and tea tree oil soap as well (no full moon, but the next one won't be til after the fast...) and it was very enjoyable. Helped with menstrual cramps as well Just a quick question to you... when you do the MC, is it ok to drink any teas occasionally OTHER than the senna blends? I was thinking this too may be a way of finding some relief at least for the cramps... but I don't know if it would mess anything up. I also think I am severely detoxing from MSG addiction because I am on day 10 and STILL severely craving foods bad for me - ONE night I broke and chewed a cracker, but before I could swallow it I made myself spit it out! lol (I'm not even craving nicotine anymore, but still craving crappy food...) and I have a fasting tea that is supposed to help with cravings... but like I said I don't want to mess anything up. Just thought I'd throw that out there... Thank you so much for your help and info.. I absolutely adore this group Love and Blessings, ~Raaven > > Hi Raaven, the sea salt will help counteract the bad stuff (that's why high quality with lots of minerals is important) it will be drawing toxins from the body. Guest guest
Hi again Raaven(cool name):(reminds of The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe); Anyway I was reading your post and you are thinking of " going vegetarian " ; I would be in favor of this; esp. after your " fast " . I wanted to make a personal comment just to you Raaven: *I am a seasoned " faster " I have done countless Water + Juice Fasts; so in this case I speak from PURE EXPERIENCE. Here are my thoughts: *Fasting also called Cleansing* is a Scientific project with not too many Scientists stufying this. So you really won't find much info on " fasting " from " conventional dr. This is my advice to you; ( I did my first juice fast in 1971) IS: *BEGIN TO INCORPORATE PLAIN PURE HERBAL TEAS INTO YOUR FASTING TODAY*. You asked if it was alright to use Herbal Teas and my answer is YES. You have to begin to rebuild up you body slowly and Herb Teas are it.- You also have to begin to devise a Diet that you will eat when you are " breaking your fast " . I guess you know " breaking your fast is extremely important " . Most fast are broken with a good quality Organic Grape-Juice followed with Fresh Grapes or some other fresh fruit; like Apples; Bananas. Another way fasts are broken is with Blenders Drinks w/BANANAS. luv A. ps Senna teas are highly laxative; cut back on those and increase other Herbal Teas such as Spearmint and Chammolie with Rose-Hips. You can buy Pure Herbal like Celestial Seasonings or Bigelow @ Store. -- In herbal remedies , " E J Lanier " <raavenart wrote: > > Thanks, Micki > > I really appreciate all your info I do believe in the pull of the > moon... really, we were taught about it in elementary science class, > so for those who think it's mumbo jumbo, well... if it works for the > ocean, wouldn't that imply force on the rest of us too? ) > > And it's funny you mention that of getting in touch with our own > bodies, because I have only gone " all natural " homeopathic since last > Januray, and am currently also working on going vegetarian, after my > fast, and already I am realizing that if we actually " Listen " and pay > attention, we DO know better than anyone else what is and is not good. > Little things at first, but as time passes so does my " gut instinct " > get stronger.
