Guest guest
I have a friend who always does " the latest diet " ... this morning she told me her new one from a magazine...and it actually didn't sound ridiculous. (well, the ingredients didn't) This drink is supposed to " melt your fat away and get rid of cellulite " . I was rolling my eyes..then she started asking me where to get organic food. hmmmm... So, it's lemon, cayenne pepper and maple syrup (all organic) What do you say? It sounds good, but melts fat???? peace robyn
Guest guest
If you mix this in distilled water, this is the same as our early morning flush drink on the Kidney Cleanse that has been around since Ole Doc Christpher came out with Kidney Cleansing. I can see where this would help with water retention (edema) and thusly handling excess water in the system resulting in weight loss from dumping excess fluids, but "melting fat"???? Dunno hon. Sounds a little fishy to me. It is a good early morning drink though as far as keeping the Kidneys full of health. Guest guest
Robyn, It sounds like what she read about is the " Master Cleanse " . I heard about it a few weeks ago so have been researching it. There's lots of info in this groups files if you do a search on the above name. " Melts fat? " Ha! That's how magazines sell copies... She might lose weight but unless she has a healthy diet and exercises she'll gain it back. It also uses a morning salt water cleanse and evening herbal tea laxative so she would get a good colon cleanse! I'm starting mine tomorrow... Guest guest
a friend of mine also does this master cleanse diet. she lost 20 pounds in a month the last time she did it. but she tells me you are supposed to drink this lemon mixture 24/7 and NOTHING else for however long you choose to do it. i think that if you are just drinking any kind of fluid and not eating anything, the pounds will come off. but she says whatever is in this mixture ensures you are also getting your required vitamins and minerals. i dont know about the melting cellulite bit. ill ask her when i next speak to her. you are right about following a good excercise program tho. she ended up gaining it all back and more. now she is on it again.angelawestonvj <westonvj wrote: Robyn, It sounds like what she read about is the "Master Cleanse". Guest guest
Master Cleanse, AKA Lemonade Diet... I just did a severe 21 day detox using this method, so I just thought I'd share a few things with all: First off, if you're looking to Melt Away Fat... I strongly suggest re-assessing just WHY you want to do the cleanse. I started my cleanse at just shy of 220 lbs, and ended up around 200 (My ideal weight would be 140), but I felt a lot better. I'm looking at the WHOLE picture here, and I am just thankful that I was able to quit smoking and begin my transition to organic vegetarian living! (The smoking especially was a victory for me) The Master Cleanse was great, but considering that I am struggling NOW with severe symptoms of acidosis (Back Pains, joints popping and cracking, kidney pains, etc) and am still working on getting past this, I would honestly suggest following some of Doc's cleanses instead, especially if your lifestyle is not necessarily in pretty good shape to begin with. If you DO choose to do the MC, depending on how long you do it for, make sure you do NOT take the lax teas for longer than 2 weeks of it... in my case, I bordered making my BM's dependant on it. I did the MC for 17 days, and ended with a 5 day kidney cleanse which incorporated other juices as well as Doc's Potassium Broth (in files). Made breaking the fast a lot smoother. No matter what you do, do your homework 100%, take your time planning out what you're going to do and for how long, and set your mind to doing it for all the RIGHT reasons, first (Believe me, all the " physical perks " will come in good time, and you'll FEEL good enough to enjoy it!) Just my 2 Love and Blessings, ~~Raaven herbal remedies , " westonvj " <westonvj wrote: > > Robyn, > > It sounds like what she read about is the " Master Cleanse " . Guest guest
I would think that would not be healthy. Just my opinion. Guest guest
Raaven, I totally agree with you for having the right reasons fot doing the Master Cleanse. I'm also over weight but have been on a good diet and exercise program and lost 40 lbs before starting this. (Still have a long way to go.) I'm doing it for the cleanse - in fact after reading about some who lost so much weight they were flabby, I cringed. I'm trying to get rid of residual meat/dairy problems lurking in the colon and get over-all health. Can't afford to buy lots of herbs to try other cleanses now, so figured this was better than nothing! I'm finishing day #4 of a 10 day cleanse and haven't had any terrible problems - minor headache 1st night, minor backache 2nd & 3rd day. 4th day I figured what am I just sitting around for expecting something terrible to happen and started walking miles again and feel great. I'm wondering why you are having problems with acidosis though, since lemons are not acid?? Congrats on giving up the cigs - that's a giant step in itself!!
