Guest guest
Dear Doc, I got very interested on this because Elle's description could be just like mine. I am a young male, maybe 5 pounds under the norm because my works requires lots of physical power (I am a contractor). The thing is I cannot wake up in the morning I do not really "awake" until 11:00AM. My diet is pretty balanced with almost no read meat, chicken about twice a week, about 12 glasses of water a day (a must to keep cool), tuna, flex seeds, almond butter, plenty of greens and no soda, smoke or junk food. I drink a couple of coffee in the morning with oatmeal sweeten with maple syrup. I am very happily married with four terrific kids but some how I feel like I am drawing. I have been listening to One of Brian's Tracy tapes which pump up my spirit with all that great advice until I go to bed... It is like I get all drained out during the night!!!! Yikes Any suggestions..... lme.Dr. Ian Shillington <DocShillingtonherbal remedies Sent: Wednesday, July 5, 2006 1:27:30 PMRe: Herbal Remedies - I have the Blues Dear Elle, Without diet information, lifestyle information, exercise information, attached to what you've written below, trying to help you is somewhat of a guessing game. I feel fatigued and slmpy and uninspired. I have tried to battle this feeling of being overwelmed and wanting to change EVERYTHING about my life. I have come to the conclusion that I am depressed. Any advice?
Guest guest
Dear lme, Far too little information. The thing to do would be to call my office and request that free lecture "Naturopathy". Orrrrr, you can listen to it on line at our mirror site: http://www.academyofnaturalhealing.com/ at no charge as well. Once you've done this, order the second lecture "Nutritional Secrets and Lifetime Health", and I'd be willing to bet you can answer your own questions on the below. Guest guest
Since you diet and lifestyle seem reasonable I suspect you have sleep apnea. Has your wife ever noticed your breathing while you sleep? Do you snore? My husband would stop breathing while he slept and had the same experience you describe. He would be exhausted and sleepy all day and even wake up with a headache a lot. I think his esophagus would relax and close off. It was scary when I realized what was happening. He was asleep so he didn't know. This is one area I recommend a medico - ONLY to get a machine(CPAP). They put you through an overnight sleep lab and check your breathing. No drugs. Then they send you home with a machine that blows air into your nose/mouth while you sleep. They may prescribe some drugs at this point - don't take them. The machine holds distilled water to keep from irritating your nasal passages. We add a couple drops of oregano oil or some colloidal silver to this to keep any fungus or mold from developing. This machine 'should' be over-the-counter but the medicos want their profits. You will probably take a few days to get used to the machine(CPAP) but after that you will wake up rested and feeling great once again. This condition is called sleep apnea. Good luck!
