Guest guest
I'll try to put this in a comical light, but really its starting to get serious. How do you stay married, though turning to " green " ? Im studying more and more about mucusless diet,gm foods, herbs, and see things I would like to try. DH is a fatalist (you cant get away from it all and there's really no harm anyhow). He mocks herbs (just take a pain killer and it will go away) and thinks Im getting a bit too big for my britches, even though I don't preach it at him. He thinks organic is a joke. Any support boards out there for sympathetic turning " greenies " like me? How in the world do you treat hostility? Nerve tonic or a constipation formula??? Any advice on list or off, humorous or not is welcome! --Jamie

Guest guest
Hi Jamie, I certainly can relate. If you find a support board let me know. Yes, doc's suggestion was good.lol My advice is take it baby steps and have patience and faith. It's a slow road, but worth it. I'm always around if you want someone to listen. Good luck. My husband used to say we cannot afford to eat organic. Well, he is the biggest supporter of organic food ever now. He is living proof that opinions can change. Our health is excellent. He does not question the cost anymore. He tells everyone about why he is doing so good. So I can only suggest for you to learn to make some wonderful dishes that he cannot resist and start preparing his food without rubbing it in. Once he is hooked you can let him know why he is feeling so darn much better. Make a believer out of him, us women have secret power that way you know? Keep your sense of humor, it will help through the transition. This will work, I've seen it over and over. In the town where I live a whole movement has started, our two big supermarkets cater to organic people all the time, their shelves are bursting with new goods all the time not to mention the fresh produce and fruits. Our Saturday market is bursting at the seams and it's amazing how this spreads. Love and light to you. Micki
Guest guest
**personally, i ignore it (negativity) and don't even bring it up (with people who couldn't care less about what they eat or do) anymore. it seems as if some people take it as a personal insult. you taking care of you makes them feel guilty for not taking care of themselves is the best i can come up with. i'm also going to take it another step...and suggest being married to someone that supports any decisions you make...emotional abuse is very real. i have searched around town and found other people who are also taking it upon themselves to be healthy. it's nice to talk to someone on the same page. i'm " organic " , and i've recently befriended a vegan. you may want to look for others with similar interests. this was important for me. i try to never let other people's negativity affect me. it's a daily battle, a lot harder than it sounds...but you CAN do it! love and peace to you! roByn ** herbal remedies , " dontfencemein1979 " <dontfencemein1979 wrote: > > I'll try to put this in a comical light, but really its starting to > get serious. > > How do you stay married, though turning to " green " ? Guest guest
Dear Robyn, You are so right. Not only can there be a toxic body, but there can also be toxic relationships. I used to know two people who separated, were just the lovliest people. Put them together and it was like Oil and Water, orrrrrrrrrrrrr more like Gasoline and a match. These two could simply not be together. Then there are those who are truly negative. You say white, and they say black. You say go, and they say stop. These people's lives are reverse vectors in personality. They are simply negative and suck the life force out of everyone around them. Guest guest
I have to laugh at this whole thread. I wish it was that easy for me. My husband is very respectful of my cleanses, exercise, tonics, supplements and herbs, but we ALWAYS have heated discussions over organic produce.... now here's the punchline ladies.... My husband was a farmer and depended on GM seed to keep him at the top in his region. He hasn't farmed for 13 years... but (t)his way of thinking is truly ingrained in him. Ladies... I think your shoes have a more comfortable fit than mine.
