Mental health screening????? That is nuts. Who is to decide someone is not normal becaus ethey do not fit into the first 2 std deviations. All kids need are 2 things: a better diet with organic food an ass kicking when they get too far out of line! Let me tell everyone something, I taught high school (for 1 semester in a bad school system) where 50% of the kids were labelled (add, adhd, ocp, depression etc) and on drugs. What about LOVE???

You seem to have left that out of your equation below.

Discipline without love, understanding and reason, is nothing more than suppression, and crosses over into the realm of punishment and duress. And this too can make people ill. Discipline is a two edged sword that cuts both ways. It should be used with reason.

I wouldn't send my worst enemy for psychological or psychiatric treatment. This would be tantamount to condemning a person to unspeakable horrors. There is a Psychiatric Museum in LA which makes the Hollywood Wax Museum - House of Horrors look like a picnic.
