Can someone reccomend a general array of items one might use in a

first aid kit to have at home or in the car for trips. We have two

young children, and would like to keep them in mind as I put it

together.

TIA

i have in mine:

-a chickweed, plantian, calendula salve for bug bites and rashes

-a healing salve (recipe for one in the files section under recipes

i think)

-a rosemary tincture for headaches

-chamomile for the kids good for tummy upsets and calms them down

its good for adults to

I also just keep plantain on hand for poultices and comfrey to.

aloevera gel with lavendar Essential oil in it for sunburns and

minor burns

meadowsweet is a natural painkiller

then you want some of the hardware like

sterile gauze pads and some strips of gauze or you can used

unbleached muslem strips as bandages to to tie on for poultices and

such

scissors

tweezers

that is a good start there are sooo many items you could make and

pack into a little softsided beer cooler type bag that zips shut

i usually have one for trips and store an arrangment of tinctures

and salves and such in my herb closet.

start alot of research and you will come up with some really good

items.

Dear Jamie,

Right behind this note I'll post my article on this.

Every home should have a major First Aid Kit, and another for the car or truck.

I always carry two bottles on me at all times - 1. Cayenne 2. Lobelia.
