Guest guest
Hi all, I have a insect bite/non-poisonous spider bite at the base of my spine on the buttock. I have no clue when it happened but symptoms started on Wednesday afternoon/evening. There is swelling at the site and severe pain. The symptoms have not gotten worse however they are not subsiding either. I've had to resort to ibuprofin to control the swelling and pain which I don't like doing. Because of where it is, everytime i move or sit it aggrivates the symptoms after a few minutes. As you can imagine this is a severe cramp in my life. So can anyone recommend anything that could help relieve the swelling and pain that isn't harsh like the ibuprofin and could speed recovery for the bite. I really don't want to resort to the doctor and have to get a cortozone shot or something. Thanks in advance. Clover

The actual sore/bite wasn't very large but the hard swollen area around it was about the size of a base ball. On the advice of a friend I made an Epsom salt poultice with 4 Tablespoons Epsom salt to 8 oz water. Heated that to dissolve, put on a wash cloth folded several times and left it for 30 min to an hour. then we cleaned the area with hydrogen peroxide. We did this 3 times daily. There was some pain involved especially at night while trying to sleep. When they were to the point of tears, I did give Motrin. I also tried funneling the site with ozone but it was too sore but did rub with ozonated olive oil after each of the above treatments. On the 5th day after when we took the poultice off, the thing just almost exploded letting out all manner of green corruption. We continued the treatment but not as aggressively but was able to add the ozone funneling since the area wasn't as sore. Edith

Guest guest
Use tea tree essential oil on the bite for relief and desinfection. Do not cover it up otherwise it'll corrode.
