The managers will usually bend over backwards for you and will ensure they order the Horseradish in for you. Not so here Doc, I went to two Nurseries and special ordered- One of them never responded at all. The other one came thru altho a bit late because I had already found it online at www.burpee.com None of our healthfood stores carries it and I got dirty looks when asking them to order it. Even the places I order dried herbs online don't carry it. Its considered an INVASIVE WEED in this locale. LOL most of what Im growing here is considered Invasive and weeds, but they are invited and welcome in my yard. Anyone got any rhubarb to spare- will trade for whatever i got that you want. Prefer the bare root and I know that January is the bewitching hour for them- will wait patiently. zoe I just did a search on dried horseradish root, and not one of those sites is selling the dried herb. Lots of recipes and other information, but no sources. even on ebay, There is ONE source and its in the powdered form - nothing on the dried root. If you have a health food store near you, and they don't carry it, they WILL order it for you. All you have to do is ask the guy who does their ordering. Sometimes you have to get a little pushy, but they will get it in for you if you persist. This will also get them in the habit of ordering it and create a demand for organic farmers to start producing more of it. And I would also pay you for organic horseradish if you are willing to sell. I love to eat that with a little lemon garlic and salt, it is good bread spread. If you like to sell some let me know I would buy organic horseradish. Regards Jasmina kat <vanokat wrote: You can sure sell me some of it!! I cannot find any anywhere.
