Guest guest
I went to the first floor of our bldg this morning to get some creamer for my coffee. They have starbucks kiosk there. I looked at the bag of decaf coffee sitting on the shelf and it said: Caffein removed with methylene chrloide. This was a method used years ago and the swiss came up with a better method using water. The methylene chloride method is cheaper (less processing steps). This just amazed me that a product that is sold at such a huge overhead will not use a water method to save 1-2 cents a pound on something that gives like fifty cups a pound on. Talk is cheap. De-caf coffee is worse than the regular stuff b/c it is processed with this crap....if the de-caf coffee IS NOT water processed it is one more chemical in the body we don't need . Becoming informed and aware of the garbage the FDA approves is the best Solution. Thanks again for bringing this to the attention of a large group.
