Guest guest
Dear Zoe, That Total Tonic is as good as gold = aged to perfection. We use our pressed mash in dog food (small amounts); dry it - powder it and use as a condiment like salt and pepper; as a poultice to handle a bad bite; etc. etc. = a hundred uses. Never dilute if you don't have to. Some kids need it diluted for taste reasons, but that'd be the only exception I can think of. They still looked good and one whiff and I began to cough and my sinuses opened right up- so Im assuming this stuff is rather potent LOL. In the process of straining I got some on my hands and boy o boy are they burning. I think I used my home grown habaneros on this batch- too many of them. Anyhow its all strained and bottled now, but you know how I am about throwing stuff away. That mash still look viable- what can I do with it? Currently its in its own jar and covered with a bit more ACV awaiting your verdict. I just know its gotta be good for something. Should I dilute the strained liquid or leave it as it is and dilute when using it? Huggs zoe
Guest guest
Yer welcome hon. Glad it helped. We don't call it Total Tonic fer nothin' LOL ;-) Doc zoe wrote: Doc Thanks for your reply and sorry it took so long to get back to you. I did as you said and dried the mash and have just powdered it- Holy Cow! Let me tell you that the dust from the grinder is STILL a might potent sinus irritant. Even after extraction and heating(dehydrator) this stuff seems just as potent as it was fresh. I don't think I will worry so much about heating this stuff again. Thanks for the suggestions, it helps extend the life of these plants and me too. zoe Dear Zoe, That Total Tonic is as good as gold = aged to perfection.
