Guest guest
Hi LD, Yes, coffee will nullify the effects of vitamins, plus use up existing stores. Coffee affects 3 main areas of the body. 1. The Adrenals 2. The Nerves and the myelin sheathing around the nerves. 3. And because of #2 - the Heart. And therefore can create such conditions as Tachycardia (Speeded up Heart Beat), and Cardiac Arrhythmia (Irregular Heart Beat) The Carpal Tunnel could be resultant from too much acid in your system = Acidosis, but can also be a simple mechanical thing from typing too much without doing so from the correct position. This happens to ranters who type a great deal all the time. :-) (Joke) The most serious and immediate effect of drinking too much coffee is what this does to the Adrenals. It burns them out over a period of time if too much is taken and adrenaline can also burn up a lot of vitamins - not only B1 and B6, but C and others as well. The problem here is that all of our glands and organs are interconnected, and when one fails or weakens, another tries to compensate. Big time coffee drinkers almost always end up with Kidney Problems, and from there, teeth, skin, hair, finger and toe nail difficulties arise after a period of time. Your body will use your skin as a back-up elimination organ if the Kidneys are not functioning at 100%. This can create all kinds of skin and hair difficulties down the road. When the Adrenals go flat, sometimes your Testosterone levels can go dramatically out of whack, again in an attempt to compensate. Your entire endocrine system can be affected in this way. Next is the Nerves. One half to One full 8oz cup of coffee a day, can actually be beneficial to the Nerves and their rebuilding. More than one cup, and you reverse this benefit to a big detriment. Then you get an Acidosis condition, shaking body parts, premature graying of the hair, restless leg syndrome (the real one, not the psych bull shit), and can even lead to Parkinson's etc. etc. etc. Many "nervous" conditions stem from drinking too much coffee, and the main reason for this is a deterioration of the myelin sheathing around the nerves. When this happens around the heart, whoaaaa baby, but now you're asking for a myriad of heart problems as in the ones mentioned above plus others. As far as the Carpal tunnel is concerned, I have a couple of simple exercises you can do that will handle it within a couple of days = a piece of cake to fix. C'mon over to my office when you get a chance, and I'll show them to you. Too simple really. Also, you may wish to change your keyboard layout, and get some kind of support or different support if you already have some. I love the new ergonomic keyboard put out by Logitech. You may also have to put your keyboard up higher = get a small platform to put it on, orrrrrrrrrrrrrrr lower it as the case may be. Play with it, and you'll find the right comfort level. Butttttttt, those exercises are key, so simple, and don't cost a thing. Bottom line on the coffee is, if you're drinking more than one cup a day, you're suffering from a self inflicted wound. As an after thought, it wouldn't surprise me if you had some major issues with your teeth as well. Doc LD wrote: Doc, if you take vitamins with coffee, does the coffee have a negative or nullifying effect on the vitamins. It stands to reason that it should, but I don;t know why I think this way. I take a bunch of supplements every morning, and B1 during the day and now with B6 trying to handle this damn carpal tunnel the neuro says needs surgery. I usually have coffee in the morning, but I try to at least delay thirty minutes between coffee and taking my vitamins. So what effect does this have on vitamins if taken together or separated by half hour or hour? -- L D Sledge
Guest guest
Dear Patti, Unless your decaf is 100% caffeine free, you can still get the same effects. You can also get the same results with Black or Green Teas that have caffeine, if you drink too much of them. One of the interesting things about coffee and decaf is the little known fact that even regular coffee is at least 90+% caffeine free. And decaf is what . . . 97% caffeine free???? There's not much difference between the two It's all in the Marketing LOL :-D Love, Doc Patti wrote: Hi Doc, This was very awakening.....how about decaf??? Same thing. Guest guest
Dear David, Naw, you're not going nuts. LOL :-D What you're looking at here is one of the biggest confusions about pH and its connection and interchanges with our bodies, AND it is not so obvious. Let's take an Orange or a Lemon as an example as it demonstrates the concept beautifully. A lemon in its natural, whole state is somewhat acid = Citric Acid, however, the ASH of a Lemon is Alkaline. What do I mean by ASH??? We're talking about what's left over after all of the moisture has been boiled or cooked off. The same could be said of this same lemon that had been fully metabolized after it's been eaten. A body that metabolizes well, will "burn" up its food into the relative ASH (mineral) components. The primary mineral ingredients in Molasses are Potassium and Calcium = both very alkaline when mixed into appropriate compounds in the body. So the residual ASH of this lemon or the molasses is Alkaline or at least shall we say, "alkaline useful or alkaline forming". Same goes for the ACV which is also Alkaline ASH. The body expels out small excesses of acid every time you breathe out = CO2 + Water = Carbonic Acid = H2CO3. This is why athletes or those who exercise a lot, are almost always alkaline when a pH test is done on them. This also explains from a pH viewpoint why "Exercise" is an absolute "Must" for anyone doing a health program. Hope this helps you with it all. All the best, Doc David wrote: Doc, I just spotted part of why I have problems understanding all this. You say it's simple (and you are right more often than not), so I'm missing something very obvious in the whole picture. How does one make the body more basic by adding two acids? Molasses has a Ph of 5.5-6 and Vinegar 2-3 typically. Wouldn't the addition of these to the body bring the Ph down further? (assumptions - the body's ideal Ph is around neutral of 7.0 and an acidosis would have to be below say 4 Ph to benefit from the Panther Piss) Can you point me in the right direction for understanding this? Thanks! David Doc Shillington wrote: This may sound too simple hon, but Doc Jensen's old Panther Piss Remedy works fine. Just take equal amounts of Organic Molasses and Organic ACV (apple cider vinegar) and mix together. 2 tablespoons a day will reverse an Acidosis condition within a week as long as you STOP eating all the ACID ASH foods If you send me an email off list, I can forward to you my Excel Spreadsheet Chart of which foods are which. The list doesn't let us forward files of this size. Hugs, Doc PS. Anyone else who wants this chart is also welcome to send me a separate comm. :-) Deborah wrote: Hey Doc, you said, "The Carpal Tunnel could be resultant from too much acid in your system = Acidosis, but can also be a simple mechanical thing from typing too much without doing so from the correct position." So, along that vein other muscles can be hyper painful if one has acidosis, right? Then how does one turn the tide of acidosis? How does one re-alkalinize the body?
