In the county of Pinellas, Florida, our ambulance company's name

Sunstar.

 

Sunstar transports around 10,000 patients per month and responds to

nearly

15,000 calls monthly.

 

This last month they broke their transport record by having their

busiest month ever as crews transported 11,615 patients to

area hospitals and health care facilities.

 

The busiest day was Friday, March 28th with 429 patient transports.

 

Officials with Pinellas County EMS and Fire Administration report

seeing

an overall increase in transports in all categories of patient illness.
