kangaroos? if hunters dont hunt and cull the herds and flocks, teh overpopulation of animals damages the environment, they eat everything and that in turn kills other animals by removing their habitat and food source. its not golbal warming or humans its humans refusal to understand nature.

This attachment shows the attitude of the average Australian 01/07/08 (despite a group of us really pushing this poll to help lift the non-kill (cull means kill) element of our society here, this was the result - people want to kill the kangaroos, the cockatoos and the possums because they sometimes pick plants, pick at fences and - well lets face it the kangaroos eat grass! These wonderful creatures are not always convenient to the "human" inhabitants of this land so they are deemed unsuitable and should therefore die.

Luckily those members of the population unthinking and uncaring in their attitudes toward the wildlife are just as unthinking and uncaring about their own health - so they die young too, after the medical profession have justified their existence by spending a heap of money playing around with the health of those same people and usually helping them on their way.

Best,

Jane

Absolutely untrue - just as untrue as disease wiping out the population as the medical profession would have you to believe if you and your children don't have your inoculations - I didn't realise you were Australian - you need to have a look at Maryland Wilson's book - that will dispel the overpopulation of the kangaroo nonsense for you. I wouldn't write as I did without sound background knowledge.

With any race there are natural population controls in use even with the human race (wars, famine, flood). My thinking is that what people call overpopulation of any species just means less room for humans. If these were dangerous animals (uhhh, human?) then I might see the point.

I just think that killing anything like this is a waste but then we as a population are wasteful, aren't we?
