Guest guest
I am looking for suggestions, research, or opinion as to what could be causing the following: I am post menopausal---no hot flashes for 5 years I do not have infection or ill--that I know of anyway. Occasionally I wake up between 1 am and 4 am because I am extremely hot and starting to sweat. I get up and make a trip to the bathroom and sometimes that is all I need to cool down and I can go back to sleep. Other times, it doesn't help at all and I just keep getting hotter and hotter so end up getting up. I realize this is during my elimination cycle of the circadian rhythm and I have been assuming that it is my body getting rid of toxins. But I don't know this for a fact as I haven't run across this anywhere in my reading. Also why so bad only occasionally. Any input would be appreciated.
