Guest guest
Iodine is a natural anti-bacterial/anitviral/antiinfective agent present in every single tissue cell in the body. Deficiency in iodine, therefore, weakens the immune system. Under normal conditions 20% of the body stores are in the thyroid gland since iodine is the cenrtal mineral in thyroid hormones. Taking adequate amounts of iodine can protect the thyroid against radiation destruction of that gland.--- On Sun, 8/17/08, Kenneth <plisca wrote: Kenneth <pliscaRe: Salt’s pedigree Date: Sunday, August 17, 2008, 11:54 AM Exactly why does the human body require iodine? Guest guest
Andrea, The ingestion of fluoride pushes out the iodine, and hence thyroid trouble has become wide spread. Fluoride being added to drinking water has done more damage than good to teeth (if any to dental care).
