The M.E. Society denounces the new 2007 CDC diagnostic guidelines for so-called "CFS." We have updated our Web site to reflect our disapproval and rejection of this operationalized definition that includes fatigue and excludes neurological, circulatory, cardiac, and other pathologies representative of M.E. It also reflects that we do not represent or advocate for patients claiming to have fatigue without these other pathologies -- if, in fact, this CDC-fabricated fatigue nonentity even exists. Nor do we publicize articles by those who write on this nonentity which they call functional somatic syndromes.

Please see our updated home page that now reflects our concerns regarding the CDC's latest outrage at http://www.cfids-cab.org./MESA .

We also express serious concern regarding the CFIDS Association of America's passive acceptance of CDC propaganda.

We have also added numerous updates to our subset page and our Cardiac Insufficiency Hypothesis page at

http://www.cfids-cab.org/MESA/subsets.html and

http://www.cfids-cab.org/MESA/Lerner.html .
