Guest guest
Andrea, Have been looking for just this thing. Found this page: http://www.sweetpoison.com/aspartame-detox-components.html Seems pretty straightforward. Here's a page on sweeteners, good and bad: http://www.holisticmed.com/aspartame/detox.html Included in the previous link is a link for further nutrients for detox: http://www.wnho.net/wtdaspartame.htm More suggestions here: http://www.ehow.com/how_2077034_detox-from-aspartame.html This includes reference to Milk thistle, Dandelion. This is all a good start. There's lots of testimonials to be found from ppl who've gotten off Aspartame, so maybe reading some of those might give encouragement. I googled aspartame withdrawal and aspartame withdrawal detox. Ann On Sep 16, 2007, at 5:50 PM, wrote: > Hi All, > > My sister has recently undergone withdrawal from coffee, effexor, > and aspartame. Guest guest
Hi All, My sister has recently undergone withdrawal from coffee, effexor, and aspartame. She's been having severe headaches for 3 weeks, longer than would be usual for caffeine and effexor withdrawal. My chance, she had a stick of gum sweetened with aspartame yesterday and noticed the headache was gone immediately. Web search today revealed that it commonly takes 60 days for the effects of aspartame withdrawal to disappear, far longer than caffeine or effexor. I told her I'd ask if anyone has any suggestions to speed up the process and make it more tolerable. Thanks in advance for your help, Fussy? Opinionated? Impossible to please? Perfect. This is a paragraph from Ann's link: Since aspartame can be very addicting, it is not a good idea to cut out both aspartame and caffeine at the same time. Aspartame is far more toxic and should be eliminated immediately. Be aware that aspartame withdrawal symptoms can last anywhere from a few days to several weeks. Cara O. Frank, R.OM, Dipl Ac & Ch.H. Guest guest
Hi Lynn, Deseret makes a homeopathic called Aspartame/Msg. I have used on myself with great results. It is safe and effective. Milk thistle is more for the liver as I understand it. Aspartame goes right to the fat cells in the brain. Their number is 800-827-9529. They are very nice to deal with. Good luck. Clarissa ---- < wrote: > Hi Lynn, > > What form, and what dose? > > Andrea Beth > > " J. Guest guest
Hi all I'm glad you are talking about aspartame as I had a new patient this week - a 50 year old man with fairly recent erectile difficulties (inability to reach or maintain a full erection, he can ejaculate OK). He is tremendously fit and active fact only sleeps less than 5 hours because of all the things he wants to fit into his day. It is hard to get a sense of his imbalances first time but his left pulse is softer and weaker than his right. Tongue was unremarkable. He consumes huge amounts of eggs, milk and diet cola each day. I wondered whether he was fundamentally yin depleted and the eggs and milk acted as a constant yin supplement. I also wondered whether the erectile difficulties could be related to the aspartame in the cola. Any ideas or experience of this? your input would be much appreciated and I will read the websites offered on aspartame withdrawal as well thanks Sue , < wrote: > > Hi All, > > My sister has recently undergone withdrawal from coffee, effexor, and aspartame. Guest guest
Hi Sue, A client of mine had swollen feet which didn't respond quickly to a siler formula (from ITM) which is usually effective for that. When I noticed the frequent gum chewing I suggested that it is so toxic that it was possible that it might be a causative agent (and even if it wasn't it would be beneficial to get off it). That's why I was searching for these sites. The symptom lists are quite extensive, as you've probably noted. Foot edema is included in that list. Soon after she quit it, the foot returned to normal. I had also given her a horse chestnut-containing formula, so that may have helped as well. Either way, a win-win as far as I'm concerned. So I decided to look for your, er, your patient's problem. Here's a site that discusses it: http://www.halexandria.org/dward073.htm Scroll toward bottom of the webpage. Anyway, it stands to reason that if aspartame has adverse neurological effects, it would have negative influence on male sexual health. BTW, the best way to google seemed to be searching aspartame and impotence. Keep us, er, posted - %-) ann On Sep 19, 2007, at 1:23 AM, suecochrane36 wrote: > Hi all > I'm glad you are talking about aspartame as I had a new patient this > week - a 50 year old man with fairly recent erectile difficulties > (inability to reach or maintain a full erection, he can ejaculate > OK).
