Guest guest
Public perception is one thing....quite different from what those who control MDs are trying to do. There is an MD with the identical name in another state and for some reason I keep getting some of his very specific junk mail. The AAMA keeps pitching to the general population of MDs as to how easy it is to get into acupuncture with their course which the last I checked was 100 hrs live and about 200 hrs home video. The quote paraphrased from the flyer....is " Isn't it time Doctor to ADD acupuncture to your medical practice! " . Acupuncture needs to have acceptance before the MDs can take it over totally. MDs and other healthcare practitioners directly under MD supervision are already being reimbursed while in the majority of reimbursement situations acupuncturists are not. As the cliche goes....be careful what you wish for....you just may get more than you expected. Richard In a message dated 9/26/2007 1:07:02 P.M. Non-acupuncturist called me and said " did you hear the great news about acupuncture " hear the great news about views this study as good news for acupuncture. The only negativity or dismissal I am hearing about it are coming from the usual skeptics and uh L.Ac.'s. Bottom line is ACUPUNCTURE works twice as good than standard medical care.
