Guest guest
Hi All, Can an LAc give a 1 hour long tuina/acupressure treatment and charge insurance companies accordingly even though they are not an LMP? I am applying for a job, with mostly Chinese massage practitioners and they are insisting that I can do this (for pt's who don't like needles). Any thoughts? Can I give a one hour massage w/o being an LMP and just use the Tuina/acupuressure codes and get reimbursed? Thanks for any help with this. Guest guest
yes, as long as you're an LAc tuina is in your scope of practice. not all companies will pay the code, and some states may not include it, so you have to ask each company when you check the patient's benefits.
