Of possible interest.

 

The " vaccinations and autism link " is being taken by families to the U.S.

federal court to seek redress and damages for their children. I thought some of

you might want to follow this legal episode as you have indicated an interest in

this area.

The trial for this case will begin Monday, May 12th. The above media advisory

It's interesting that court cases get started in the US. The whole case has

been a HUGE embarrassment for the British medical establishment..

 Hi Artemis. Thank you for doing the research.

 Following the last link you posted, where you also quoted the authors as

stating that " no causal link was established " - if we follow the link and read

the first linked letter, we will find a very damaging rebuttal to the original

author's conclusions. The recalculation of the numbers by the second group found

a correlation coefficient of very close to +1, which means, yes, there is a

link.

 

 Whew. When will it all end?

Hi Artemis and Hugo,

 

I don't support any side in this issue and haven't presented any support for or

against. I assume that the issue will be intensely vetted in federal court and

that multiple sides will air their concerns. I'll be reading them carefully to

see how they present. When money is involved, there is usually some motivation.

Lots of money means that there will be lots of motivation to vet with intensity.

In addition there is perceived injury.

 

I'm personally intrigued by the science of vaccination as one of the few areas

of modern Western medicine that utilizes ideas originating in the original

American medical paradigm of homeopathy. Before I went to Western medical

school, I spent a year reading and studying the history of medicine in America.

I had already spent some years helping practitioners of homeopathy and Chinese

medicine. I was surprised by the history as to how briefly allopathy has had

currency.

 

My intrigue with the immune system is its manner of activation. The " specific "

immune system is activated either by infection or vaccination or stresses which

mimic these things. I can see benefits to either or both. There are also

stresses that can bring about non-specific immune integrity such as lifestyle

practices in the realm of tai ji, aerobic physical activities, along with with

nutrition, sleep, and other balanced attunements. I need to keep studying so

that my teaching is adequate.
