Guest guest
Castor oil and baking soda applied under a bandaid works very well also and is easier for pts to self-administer. Guest guest
The most effective treatment for warts that I have found is putting duct tape over the wart. It will kill it in days. Guest guest
Daily indirect moxa took care of a plantar wart community on the bottom of a heel in about a week (it was about an inch wide with many warts), something that had been surgically cut out repeatedly. Maybe it was an isolated incident. Laura Cooley
Guest guest
I don't actually know how duct tape works, but it definitely works. I had three very persistent warts on my hand and I tried virtually everything: wart ointment, freezing them, castor oil, tea tree oil, acu-moxa, etc. This went on for about a year. I heard about duct tape, and tried it. I put the duct tape on, left it on for about three days, rechecked the warts, and the warts and had turned white and I could easily pick the skin away. I reapplied the duct tape, checked again three days later, and more of the same thing occured. I picked the skin away and in place of the warts, I had holes where the warts were. These of course healed rapidly, with no irritation, inflammation, pain, or bleeding. Chinese Medicine , " David J. Razo " <ozar14 wrote: > > How does duct tape get rid of warts? Guest guest
Salicylic acid pads placed over plantar warts definitely works. I once had over a hundred plantar warts on the bottoms of both my feet. I was a dancer and had also worked in a health club. I had so many of the warts it was becoming painful to walk, much less dance. I went to a Madison Avenue dermatologist here in NYC and he recommended putting one piece of the pad (you can cut them) over the wart I thought was the 'mother wart'. Then he somewhat sheepishly said that there was some belief that one could also 'will them away'. I think he said he learned that in the military. Anyway, I did what he advised with the salicylic acid pad and also tried to will them away. Within a week they had started to clear and within 2 weeks ALL of the warts were gone. And I had had them for about 5 years. Salicylic acid pads are sold in drugstores. --RoseAnne On May 18, 2008, at 12:52 PM, znelms wrote: > I don't actually know how duct tape works, but it definitely works. > I had three very persistent warts on my hand and I tried virtually > everything: wart ointment, freezing them, castor oil, tea tree oil, > acu-moxa, etc. This went on for about a year.
