My problem is I can barely handle it! I am one of those people who likes more bland and less spicy foods.I am so GLAD he is finding relief! One thing I have learned over the years is that each person's body make-up is different and what works for one person may not work as effectively for another. Ditto fr pharmaceuticals (OTC or prescription) . I have been using honey for cold sores for over 15 years and it works like a charm for me. My husband swears it is useless and does not work for him. I don't know if it is because I am more faithful in using it relentlessly (I even keep some by my bed at night and reapply as I wake up) or if his body is just different and it really doesn't work for him. I know that there are a lot of OTC and prescription meds he can't take as they wipe him out for days until they get out of his system. we use very little of either one, but on those rare occasions when we have had to submit ot them, he most liekly a not can't take them as he has such bad reactions to them (antihistamines will put him to sleep for 3-4 days straight so he avoids them like the plague!). We have been staving off colds all autumn.. At the first hint of a cold (sniffles, stuffy nose, "heavy" sinus feeling, etc) we strat the honey and cinnamon and within a day we have relief. I have taken this just once a day and gotten relief, but for a real heavy cold coming on I've done it twice a day and stopped it dead. We were doing the cinnamon honey suggestion when he started to get sick. He is amazed at his response to the Cayenne-Honey combination. He feels great. Then, using the tea, he is actually having rare productive coughs which is preventing his usual bout with bronchitis. -- Jaynee Send e-mail anywhere. No map, no compass.
