Guest guest
My friends neice has a terrible seasonal allergic rash. It seems to go with her other upper respretory alergies. It is all over her. She as been to the doctor and allergist she has her on pills which help with sneezing but not with rash. The salve the doctor gave did nothing. OTC things don't help either. Her mother uses a nasal rinse on her to help with the conjestion. She has a lot of nasal conjestion, itchy. very red and watery eyes. Her ears are effected too and will itch. She will cough as well but it seems to be from post nasal drip. Thankfully, she has no sign asthma. The rash consisted of red inflamed skin and red bumps (not blisters). It looked dry rather than weepy. I am certain it is not poison ivy (but she does get that when exposed.) It heavier on her stomach, the back of her neck, the underside of her forearms. But not on her face or arms where the sun will get to it. They know she is allergic to ragweed, tree pollen, poision ivy. The test for grass was inconclusive. They didn't find any alergies to soaps or scents, shampoo ingredients or anything along those lines. They only use aveno and have given her oatmeal baths etc. Poor kid. It is just a puzzle as to what to do give her some relief. She also has no food allergies. Everyone is puzzled these symptoms arrive in the spring and leave in the fall. Any ideas on how to treat this. Her latest allergy tests where two weeks ago. - Tracy
Guest guest
Docs Huff 'n' Puff formula will help with the lungs/congestion. As for the itchy inflamed skin, try making an herbal tea of comfrey leaves and apply externally to the affected areas. This is well known to stop itching and lessen inflammation. Hope this helps!
