Guest guest
Becky...Could you give an example of what you are thinking to use substitute herbs and what formula? There is such a thing as substitutes should all else fail. A stimulant is a stimulant etc...Mary O Becky Friday, May 15, 2009 2:23 PM herbal remedies {Herbal Remedies} Doc's recipes I have a question about Doc's formulas. I want to make some of them myself. I am concerned that as things get worse here in the US that I may not be able to order things like we used to. Hubby and I are now living in an area where we could wildcraft some of the herbs we need. What I need to know is what if we don't have access to all of the herbs in each of Doc's recipes? Would it work to use what we do have access to? Thanks!Becky in Rosalia, WA
Guest guest
Hey Becky, Excellent question. Never, ever let the lack of one or two ingredients stop you from making one of my Formulas. They will still be very effective. In Knowledge, Health and Freedom, Doc Becky wrote: I have a question about Doc's formulas. I want to make some of them myself. Guest guest
Thanks, Doc, that is a huge, huge help! I don't want to substitute any herbs, just use the herbs in your formulas that we are able to find. And we are starting to find enough around our place that we could do pretty good at making them. I just don't have every one of them. I have my own rose bushes(, rose hips!) and my friend just gave me 2 doane raspberries to get me started, plus I have been finding some other interesting herbs around our place--loads of dandelions, plantain, peppemint, etc. I have been finding DMSO at our favorite local feed supply store. Is that safe to use in the formulas that call for DMSO? Guest guest
Becky...Doc is a bit busy today and may not get to this email. Go to our files section and look under articles and newsletters. There are two on DMSO. You can read these for all the info you need , if you haven't already. In these he will tell you to get US Pharmaceutical grade in glass bottles only. There are a few more cautions in the file. Iyou have any more questions let me know.
