Guest guest
I've been suffering chronic depression for more than 20 years and it's been very severe a few times during that time. I'm in the worst period of depression of my life right now at 46 years old. I've been taking trazodone for 1 1/2 years now to sleep, and been taking antidepressants for same amount of time. I'm taking 20mg of Cipralex per day. The trazodone is making me fatigued. I'm not sleeping enough. I'm very tired for hours after I wake up. I have low energy and having frequent anxiety attacks - especially when I'm worried about whether I'll be able to pay rent. I've tried double the dose of melatonin as a test to see it would help me sleep and with double dose, I only got 2 hours sleep. Can somebody with same experience and with knowledge of what will help me, please comment? Ed
Guest guest
I had horrible anxiety for 3 or 4 years...I started eating organic foods and whole, healthy foods also cutting out soy and I am a vegetarian. You need to cut out foods that contain hormones and eat "real" food. Cut out sugar and hopefully you don't drink anything or eat foods that contain artificial sweetener. The thing I credit for getting me out of my anxiety/ depression would be omega 3 fish oils! I think every person should be taking it, it's that important! I think you should also take iodine...it sounds like your thyroid is getting hit hard right now as well as your adrenals. They need iodine to be supported. You also sound like you need some hormone adjustment so you should look into that. I hope things get better for you! I think the omega 3's will really help! ing me fatigued. I'm not sleeping enough. Guest guest
I recommend you go to www.alternativementalhealth.com for some information, resources and a health practitioner to help you with this one. If you want a great book, get The Mood Cure by Julia Ross. It has an assessment in the front to help define what supplements you need to take and improvements you need to make to your diet. You can also call her office in Santa Rosa, CA. Her number can be found at www.moodcure.com. She has a wonderful staff that will help you. Do whatever you can to get off of those antidepressants as they are expensive, addicting and have terrible side-effects. There are natural remedies and solutions available. It takes some research and finding out what works for you. A good health practitioner like Julia Ross will put you in the right direction to a happier and healthier life. This is a common problem and I've had times in my life with the same thing so, well done on doing something about it! herbal remedies , dppromo wrote: > > > I had horrible anxiety for 3 or 4 years...I started eating organic foods and whole, healthy foods also cutting out soy and I am a vegetarian.?
