Susan,

I do apologize for not answering in a timely manner. I am hoping there

are some wildcrafters on our list who can suggest some books.

My suggestion is do some research on the Internet regarding such books

and then go to a local book store such as Barnes and Noble or

Borders.and order them They can order the book for you to see before

you purchase it.

I would also talk to old folks in your area and try to locate an old

herbalist/ wildcrafter.

I am searching myself for an all around good book on this .When I find

the right thing , I will post about it.

Any other ideas folks ?

Mary

Mary,

This is what I would like to learn more about; they can be harvested in

the wild by anyone who knows what to look for and how to use them. What

references do you recommend to identify them?

I know both plantain plants, red clover, poke root, sassafras,

dandelion and garlic and have access to gather them.

I do research on the web about plants and I am still not sure of the

identities of the burdock and thistles in my area because there are

several with similarities and some are dangerous if used.

I would appreciate any links for further research.

Thank you,
