Is Black Walnut Hull Tincture no longer in Total Tonic??

I was just reading the article on Black Walnut Hulls w/copyright 2004 by Doc.

In that article it is said that it is so potent that it is being added to the

Total Tonic recipe. I've made my 2nd batch of Total Tonic according to the

latest recipes from the forum and it did not have the Black Walnut Hulls in it.

Is there a particular reason or oversight why not in it? Thanks for insight.

It must have been an older recipe. No Black Walnuy Hull is not in Total

Tonic . It is in Body Balance.

I am looking at the label on my Total

Tonic bottle and it definitely contains Black Walnut Hull.

Bryan,

How long ago did you get that Total Tonic ?

We no longer put it in Total Tonic, We put it in Body Balance instead.

You either have an older bottle or one of the staff here used a wrong

label .

Thats funny. The bottle of total tonic I have does not have black walnut hull tincture. The bottle of BWH tincture I have though does have black walnut hull in it. I only notice BWH in body balance with black strap molasses and ACV.

Could you clarify on the reasons for taking Black Walnut Hull tincture out of

Total Tonic recipe?

The recipe we have also contains it. I suspect there is a reason for taking it

out and was hoping you could explain.

The Reason the BWH Tincture was taken out of the TT was because it dramatically shortened the shelf life of the Formula. Normally, TT will last several years. The BWH lowered that to several weeks on the shortest to several months on the longest depending on how many times the bottle was opened.

 

This doesn't affect the BB+ Formula at all, as the natural sugar in it, plus the small amount of alcohol in this formula keep it well preserved for ages.

 

I always recommend people have a separate bottle of the BWH on hand by itself. The shelf life of the BWH by itself is over 75 years or more, (no one's lived that long to test this ;o) as it's alcohol based whereas the TT is ACV based. That was the difference that caused it to go off.

 

Take your BWH separately guys and gals.
