Guest guest
Hi Mary/Doc, I’ve got three healthy, vibrant, young children – all of which have inherited their father’s less then perfect skin. Particularly in the winter time…they get scaly, dry, red, patchy, itchy skin – and I haven’t been able to determine if it’s eczema or psoriasis but in either case they can be absolutely miserable. Do you have any recipes for a lotion that can “cure” this condition after applying (even if it takes several applications)? I’d love to get their skin balanced so that they don’t go through this torment. Any ideas would be welcome! Thank you. Lisa

Guest guest
My 11yo has had psoriasis since she was 5 (about a year before her Dad was diagnosed with brain cancer). We diagnosed it by searching the internet for *psoriasis pictures*. That may help you to know what your children have.We changed our diets drastically about 2 years ago. At that point, the psoriasis went from covering probably 80% of her body to 5-10%. We began the Feingold Program. It essentially removes all petro-chemicals, hidden and otherwise, from our lives (food, laundry detergent, soaps, etc).I've been slowly working on her emotionally...that seems to be also helping...slowly! I might try Doc's salve!Ingrid"Be one more blind follower of the blind, and you will have the oblivion you desire."Bliss Carman1861-1929, Poet--- On Tue, 2/9/10, Lisa <blacksands wrote:Lisa <blacksands{Herbal Remedies} Skin issuesherbal remedies Date: Tuesday, February 9, 2010, 5:34 PM Hi Mary/Doc, I’ve got three healthy, vibrant, young children – all of which have inherited their father’s less then perfect skin. Guest guest
Eczema would be from what in chinese medicine is called "damp heat." This would be due to raw, spicey, greasy and phlegmy foods. Spleen qi would also be a factor. Psoriasis is extreme yin dryness. Drink more water every day. You could even do small amounts of raw juicing for a short period. Too much raw would deplete spleen. - Lisa herbal remedies Tuesday, February 09, 2010 4:34 PM {Herbal Remedies} Skin issues Hi Mary/Doc, I’ve got three healthy, vibrant, young children – all of which have inherited their father’s less then perfect skin. Guest guest
Dear Lisa, As is usual with these kinds of things, there's always more here than meets the eye. Skin difficulties are usually connected with the Kidneys since your body will use your skin as a back-up elimination organ when the Kidneys are not operating at 100%. If the Kidneys are not correcting themselves automatically, then you also know that your Liver is also not operating at peak since your Liver is the Correction Division of your Body. What is indicated here is doing the Total Body Cleanse to thoroughly detox the entire body. For 80% of the people this handling will do the trick. For an additional 18% you may need to also do some Niacin Therapy as past Radiation exposure (even too much from the sun) can also contribute to this phenomenon. Doing a TBC along with some Niacin Therapy should wrap this up for your kids. If all this can be done with access to a gym that also has a sauna, then some healthy sweating should also help. That about wraps it up. I have said it all along but all the Docs told me I was wrong. My 14 yo son got a really bad sunburn on his back 2 summers ago. It was the first time he had ever been burnt. Ever since that day he has has horrible 'acne'. I have used everything under the sun haha to try to clear this up but nothing works. The derm doc looked at me like I was crazy for saying it was the sunburn. Of course she was more than willing to put him on Accutane. I said NO WAY! So he just deals with it as his self esteem deteriorates. So how much Niacin would he need - he is like I said 14 and weighs about 190. I can't get him to do a real cleanse - he may be a football player but he's still a cry baby lol Thanks for this Kathy - Doc herbal remedies Thursday, February 18, 2010 2:47 PM Re: {Herbal Remedies} Skin issues Dear Lisa,As is usual with these kinds of things, there's always more here than meets the eye.Skin difficulties are usually connected with the Kidneys since your body will use your skin as a back-up elimination organ when the Kidneys are not operating at 100%. Guest guest
Dear Don, There are several Niacin Therapies out there ranging from a simple small program up to a full Detoxification Program such as Ron Hubbard's Purification Rundown that handles everything from Radiation Poisoning and Radiation Sickness, and drug addiction, to certain Mental Conditions brought about by Physical Toxicity. The Purification Rundown is the most comprehensive of these kinds of detoxes and gets very dramatic results of both a physical AND a mental nature. It also involves a complete Vitamin Program and Sauna Sweat protocol. The one I'm talking about below is the simple Program, whereby you start off with 100Mg of Niacin which will cause a flush. You continue taking the 100 Mg dosage until you stop flushing, then raise it up to 200 Mg, and when you stop flushing at 200 you raise it up to 300 all the way up to 500Mg. When you stop flushing at 500Mg, you're done the simple program and many smaller, unwanted physical conditions will have simply vanished. However, you NEVER want to go above 500Mg without supervision, as this puts you into the realm of the Hubbard Program where more serious things turn on such as Drug Trips and a full radiation Detox. In this program you could be taking as much as 5,000 Mg of Niacin and it simply must be supervised and adhered to with a very exacting protocol. Niacin IS Vitamin B3 and you want to use the Nicotinic Acid form of the Vitamin, NOT the Niacinamide (salt) Form which is virtually useless. Best, Doc On 2/18/2010 2:53 PM, Don Allen wrote:  Please explain how to do niacin therapy... --- On Thu, 2/18/10, Doc <Doc (AT) AcademyOfNaturalHealing (DOT) com> wrote: Doc <Doc (AT) AcademyOfNaturalHealing (DOT) com> Re: {Herbal Remedies} Skin issues herbal remedies Thursday, February 18, 2010, 2:47 PM  Dear Lisa, As is usual with these kinds of things, there's always more here than meets the eye. Guest guest
It is very possible to run even 1 year olds and younger through a TBC. One just has to remember the 150 Rule as to dosages. Sometimes, kids have been "spoiled" by a terrible diet in the first place and you may have to go through some screaming and yelling to get that diet changed, but I've never known a kid to allow himself or herself to starve for any length of time before they'll change their mind and eat what's put in front of them. Nowwwwwwww, my grand daughter Zea (Kelly and Bryan's Baby). I'm going to have to get a video of her and her early morning Total Nutrition, it's that funny. She's 15 months old now, and literally starts demanding Kelly speed up the process as it's being made every morning. It is absolutely hilarious to watch this 15 month old get so demanding, and with her limited vocabulary giving Kelly step by step instruction on how to make it, along with a criticism as to why it's taking so long. The whole family gets a kick out of this and it starts all of our day off with a bright spot of humor. Of course she's had TN since she was a baby so her tastes have developed along that line, however she's been trained to eat what's put in front of her and will take any tincture given to her regardless of how vile it tastes. It is a question of training, plain and simple. I've never known a kid to protest longer than 3 days without coming around. Just takes a lot of patience and tolerance on your part. I answered the Niacin Therapy question in an earlier post and hope it helps.
