Guest guest
False Solomon's Seal. Red berries will come out the end. Solomon's Seal. The berries hang underneath and are black when ripe. The roots are said to be good for many things medicinally. Once I used this plant as a survival food. I made a soup with many roots as the main edible ingredient. They were delicious and crisp like sweet uncooked spuds. Sitting by my camp fire, I found myself feeling a little giddy after eating such a large quantity. Perhaps not the greatest survival food and is probably better used as an herb. But what can I say?.. it was yummy and it was there when i was extremely hungry. Also, It made my mouth tingle and salivate kinda like quality Echinacea. ~B
