My midwife told me yesterday that this pregnancy is stressing my liver and I need to begin consuming either dandelion or milk thistle.  Can I make a dandelion tea for this purpose?  What parts of the dandelion do I use?  Roots, or just leaves or flowers (yellow or white?) and how long should it steep?

TIA,Anella

You can use all parts and should steep it for at least 15 minutes. If

its not bitter enough to make you feel like gagging, add more herbs.

The roots will really make a good strong tea. The flowers and greens

should be eaten raw with your daily salad but they can also be used for

tea.

You've heard it a thousands time but I'll say it again. "DRINK LOTS

OF WATER."

How does a pregnant lady know if shes drinking enough water?

When she tilts her head to the side

and it comes out her ear. Change font for answer.
