Guest guest
Hi, I am a new member to this group. I am a female, 41 years old and suffer from Type 2 Diabetes. Have been on oral medications for the past 2 years. My diabetes is in good control but the last time I did a dilated eye exam the doctor told me that I have an incipient cataract though I am still young to get such eye disorders. Probably I was diabetic for many years before being formally diagnosed and my eyes got affected during that time. My question is does anyone know of a vitamin or herb that truly stops the progression of cataracts. Many Regards, Amal

I tried to go off medications in the past for a few months but my A1C creeps up rapidly. I used metformin for a few months only and then on Prandin. I understand that they burn the beta cells in the pancreas faster but have no other option. I am taking the minimal dose that helps with low carbing. Guest guest
I'm thinking that canola oil causes cataracts so, it would be a good idea to not eat anything with it in it. Guest guest
Thank you for bringing that up Christine............canola oil is not fit for consumption. Use it on your power mower, sewing machine or squeaky hinges, etc. but don't get any in your mouth.BetsyChristine Birdsall <gotoyourdestiny.chris Sent: Tue, April 27, 2010 12:37:41 PMRe: New member & Incipient Cataract I'm thinking that canola oil causes cataracts so, it would be a good idea to not eat anything with it in it. Guest guest
No, sunlight can cause cataract over the years, canola oil causes macula degeneration. Guest guest
Amal - there is VERY good advice on the list - I'm quite sure you will find it if you follow my original direction - you didn't come to the list to be told to check google! Please go to the message page and type cataract into the search slot, best, Jane http://www.eamega.com/HighFieldHealth~The Highest Field of Energy Healing you now!~ - Amal Tuesday, April 27, 2010 6:02 PM Re: New member & Incipient Cataract Tony De Angelis <tntstuart Try L-carnosine eye drops for a few months, Life Extension sells them under the name "Brite Eyes" You also MUST try to get off the meds for diabetes - they may control blood sugar but the diabetes progresses***************Thanks for your suggestion, Tony. Guest guest
Thanks Jane and all other members who responded to my message. I do not use canola oil at all. I only use butter or extra virgin olive oil and sometimes palm oil. Having a cataract at my age is very scary indeed but I will try different therapies to avoid surgery. The ophthalmologist told me that it needs like 10 years to become ripe. I hope I get rid of it very soon. Many thanks & regards,Amal Jane MacRoss <highfield1 Sent: Tue, April 27, 2010 4:42:55 PMRe: New member & Incipient Cataract Please check the message search engine at the top of the message page there are several good pointers for curing cataract, Best, Jane http://www.eamega. com/HighFieldHea lth~The Highest Field of Energy Healing you now!~ --
Guest guest
My mother used to say that juice of white onion and honey mixed in equal quantities stops the cataract. I am myself putting eyedrops that have these two plus, lime juice and ginger juice. i get these readymade eye drop from Swami Ramdev's pharmacy. My 96 year old mother-in-law puts an eye drop called i-tone and she hasn't had cataract. I also do some eye exercises.
