Guest guest
HELLO M. Realtor I am still reading, but just want to say, that I have spent 7+ years learning all I could about non insulin dependent type 11 diabetes (aka Insulin Resistance) and the subject of celiac disease - plus NON Celiac Gluten Sensitivity. I am diagnosed with BOTH of these ailments (plus many other food intolerances etc) I was pleased to receive the list of links to read thru, but was concerned that you seemed to be saying going gluten free would fix type 11 diabetes (per se). I pointed out to you also that one of your links was specifically referring to type 1 diabetes(insulin dependent) to which you replied that further down in the article it also mentioned non insulin dependent - type 11 diabetes............. I have read those papers.... thank you. I read through some of the other links (I am still working my way thru them currently) and found this comment from Kemp Randolph at http://www.celiac.com/articles/90/1/Diabetes-and-Celiac-Disease---By-Kemp-Randolph/Page1.html in reference to an association between diabetes type 1 and celiac disease. No connection has been found with the more common form of diabetes (mellitus= honey , from the sugar laden urine when uncontrolled), Type II which occurs at a rate of 2-2.5% in the general population. Again thanks for your links they are most interesting...... there seems to be a push in the medical field to categorize type 11's as also having autoimmune malfunctions..... I suspect that will give the pharmaceutical companies more ammunition to push more drugs onto the unsuspecting public. IF people were taught how to eat properly, and were - of course prepared to do it, rather than popping a pill, I feel certain fewer people would need the drugs and they would be much healthier.
