makes new contacts and gains interesting experiences, BUT there are

definite risks involved.

 

MANY commercial sites (in China and elsewhere) have viruses and

Trojan Horses in their pages. Some also try to collect personal data

[including passwords and bank data] from users' computers.

 

This is an inevitable fact of life for web researchers. However,

having a good antivirus suite, updated daily, on one's computer

usually stops these infections.

 

Have any of you been hit by viruses / Trojan Horses IN SPITE of

having an updated Antivirus suite on your system?
