Sensorineural Hearing Loss (WAS Prognosis for deafness treatment)

Interesting. I was just researching this very thing as I have a new patient

scheduled to come in two weeks who has this as one of her cc (at age 84). So

far, results of medical research on PubMed using acupuncture to treat this

is yielding fairly dismal abstracts...not a good sign.

 

Very curious if anyone has some actual clinical experience in treating

sensorineural hearing loss (as always, diff pattern dx applies) but aside

from that, is this something that other practitioners have actually seen

improve (as shown by follow-up hearing tests) which would help give insight

into possible prognosis or applicability of acupuncture to treat this

condition.
