Based on Acyl Lactylates, which are wonderful for both skin and hair, anionic

Lactylates are created through a reaction between the acyl group of fatty acids,

and Lactic Acid (See our Lactic Acid page for details). Both Fatty Acids and

Lactic Acid are natural moisturizing factor constituents found in skin!

Wonderful viscosity enhancement, improved stability, and conditioning

all-in-one!

TMS-50! This just in! The folks at Croda have really outdone themselves this

time! (Literally) BTMS 50 is a HIGHER ACTIVE Version of our very popular

" Emulsifying Conditioner " . `Emcon', as we like to call it for short, is

approximately 26% Active, while BTMS 50 is 50% ACTIVE! Even more conditioning

properties! Whew! This is definitely one of THE ingredients for Hair

Conditioners as well as creams. And…(drum roll please) some of us avoided using

`Emcon' in every formulation because it thickens sooo well…it's difficult to

make a " lotion " . The formula has been updated to contain a higher quat

(conditioning lipid) to fatty alcohol ratio. What this means for you: The

ability to better control the thickening action in your formulas!
