Guest guest
I had a friend ask me for a recipe to make a moisturizer for blemish prone skin. I know I have one SOMEWHERE, but where is the biggest question? So, to make my life a little easier and save some time in an already busy day I figured I'd ask some of our resident creative toiletry minded folks here (does that mean our minds are in the toilet <grinz>) .. does anyone have a good recipe for a lotion or cream or moisturizer of any kind that is good for blemish prone skin? *Smile* Chris (list mom) Celebrating The Colors of Autumn - ON SALE NOW Virgin Red Palm Oil & Brown Muscovado Sugar <http://www.alittleolfactory.com/> http://www.alittleolfactory.com

Hi Chris, I have been struggling with blemish, senitive skin for years, and tried many different formulas. This is the one that keeps it in check. Not a lotion or cream but an oil based formula that is applied to face, then any excess is wiped off. 1oz bottle 1/2 oz hazelnut or sweet almond oil 1/4 oz Foraha oil, aka Tamanu oil 1/8 oz Rose hip seed 1/8 oz Borage oil, or evening prim rose 5 drops Frankincense CO2 or just the eo 2 drop Helichrysum (italicuum) I sometimes play around with the oils, adding a little jojoba or Hemp, by adjusting the the amount of Hazelnut oil. But mostly I just use the above recipe. I apply this in the morning before any makeup, Foundation only, and in the evening before bed. Works for me. BTW, the rosehip seed oil, frac. coconut are excellent for skin care! Andrea
