Hi Chris,

I am over my head in issues now .. that's why I have not been posting to

the list and why I am behind in answering routine posts from folks. But

this one I will take time to answer.

> OK....remember the woman that had the spider bite that has never

healed.

Yes ma'am .. I do recall.

> I made her tea bags of herbs to make a poultice with. She wants to

keep

> on with this, as it seems to be helping. We'll try the green clay

next.

I'm sure she would like to deal with this as simply as possible .. but

it sounds to me like she is playing with fire .. dangerous it is.

> I also made her up some shea butter, emu oil, smidge of natural

beeswax

> to keep it together and I think just tea tree eo. That is keeping the

> area from cracking, so she is happy there too.

Cracking MIGHT not be the biggest concern.

> She came by today with alligator tears in her eyes. She had just

gotten

> off the phone with the Dr, and he told her that he gives up and the

only

> option is amputation!!! Needless to say, she was very upset.

Understood .. and I think she should get another opinion .. TOMORROW!

> In the 1 1/2 years that this guy has been her Dr, he NEVER requested a

lab

> to be run on the infection!

More reason to get another opinion TOMORROW!

> Thankfully, she is seeing a.....crud, I can't even think of the name.

At

> any rate, this person decided to get a swab of the infected area and

test

> it. She has Staph! I'm getting ready to do some reading up on it but

from

> what I can remember, this is nasty stuff.

You got that right .. its what kills most folks in hospitals. And there

are a few types of Staph.

> Butch.....would oregano work here?

Origanum does kill most staph germs.

> She was telling me today that when it starts hurting pretty badly, it

is

> from one of her nerves and it goes all the way down to the end of one

of

> one of her toes. I know nerve pain and it is impossible to treat,

even

> with major drugs.

Not really .. many folks with neuropathy are treated effectively with

morphine. But this sounds like something more serious .. for the short

term .. hoping Paula or one of the other medical types will chime in.

> The whole foot is still red and there is a pulse......so I don't think

that

> it is just bad circulation......which is what one quack told her.

Meaning .. he said .. mebbe gangrene is setting in.

> This poor woman is at her wit's end....and then the lovely Dr's

comments.

Sometimes we hear things that bother us but they are not unrealistic ..

and that's another reason why she should get another opinion TOMORROW!

> I told her to tell him that she has a slight aversion to saws!!!!

We all do .. but a buddy of mine just lost his foot to an infection ..

he fell off a ladder and staph set in while the broken ankle healed.

> She is going to call the lab tomorrow and see if they will fax me a

> copy of her complete report, so I can know better what I am up

against.

What you are up against is the health of this woman .. and trying to

practice medicine without a license. It is not a good thing. She needs

to get another medical opinion .. TOMORROW!

> I've searched through my herb books and am coming up empty handed.

Chris .. the doctor she is seeing might be a quack who is as full of

shit as a Christmas goose .. or a Thanksgiving turkey .. but at the same

time, he might know what he is talking about .. and personally, I would

ask the lady to get another medical opinion .. TOMORROW! She might just

wake up dead one of these mornings. :-(

> Thanks guys!

Welcome .. though I am sure my reply is not what you really wanted. But

it is from the heart .. as well as from the brain pan.
