Guest guest
Hi Eva, Decyl polyglucose is part of a " new generation " of surfactants that was created in part because of the work of the Green Party in Germany, which is an organization that pressures companies to develop and use products that are more environmentally friendly, from more renewable sources and more gentle (less toxic) to the user. It is a nonionic surfactant derived from corn and vegetable glycerin sugars. It is readily biodegradable, extremely mild, performs well in hard water conditions, low in toxicity and clinical tests have shown it to be non irritating, even at high concentrations and extended exposure. It is unique in that it has the mild properties of a nonionic, with the high foaming ability of an anionic. Many companies with a natural focus (such as California Baby & Jason) are now using decyl polyglucose as their primary, and in some cases only, surfactant. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Eva [evaedwards] Chris, Can you tell me exactly what this is? I would love to find an sls alternative, and have given up baths until I do. I have also tried the liquid soap in the tub and concur it works not at all. Thanks, Eva
